EXTREME NATIONALISM IS AGAINST HUMANITY: YOUTH SPRING OPEN FORUM

Kozhikode: Border based jingo nationalism is often against humanity said an open forum titled ‘Nationality Sign in Sign out’ held in connection with Solidarity Youth Spring Film festival. Prominent film activist KP Sasi said we are indebted to the foreign powers for the concept of Bharat as we had no such idea before British rule. Keralites were entitled as global citizen who were living in princely states. People are led to jingoism and communalism through extreme nationalism.
Dr. Umer Tharamel, C. Dawood, Shibu Mohammed, Dr. Aju K. Narayanan, Dr. Azeez Taruvana and others talked. Y. Irshad was moderator. NP Salahuddin welcomed all.
In the interaction held with the directors of the films screened in the festival, Sudarsan Chakraborthy, Sreemith, Soumitra Dastidar and others talked.
Solo drama, pedi (fear) presented by Shafeeq Kodinji drew the attention of the audience.
In the closing ceremony to be held today, Dr. K. Gopinath, Adam Ayyub, P. Baburaj, Anusri, Biju Mohan, T. Mohammed Velom, Nahas Mala, P. Ruksana and others will take part.
